Vicente Fernandez Gomez was born the February 17, 1940 in Huentitán the Height, Jalisco. His family was of humble origin and from early childhood had towork on different occupations to earn a certain amount of money and to be able to survive with dignity.

Vicente Fernández Gómez nació el 17 de febrero de 1940 en Huentitán el Alto, Jalisco. Sufamilia era de origen humilde y desde muy niño tuvo que trabajar en diferentes oficios para ganar algo de dinero y poder sobrevivir dignamente.

Before arriving to be considered like one of the morebig legends of the history of the Mexican music, Vicente Fernandez had to work very hard singing at the most unexpected scenes of his land. When he had 21 years debuted in "EL Amanecer Tapatio" and inthe television program "La Calandria Musical", where he earned his first salary as singer: 35 pesos. Cuando él tenía 21 años debutó en el "Amanecer Tapatío" y en el programa de televisión "La CalandriaMusical", donde él ganó su primer sueldo como cantante: 35 pesos. Por esto él decidió cambiar todos sus trabajos por las carreras de cantante y actor. Con este objetivo, él se mudó a la Ciudad de México yactuó durante una temporada en el “Mariachi Amanecer”.
