1. Breve biografía del autor y su obra.
Víktor Emil Frankl nació en Viena el 26 de marzo de 1905. Hijo de Gabriel Frankl y Elsa Lion. Víktor tenía un hermano mayor llamado Walter y Stella, la menor.
Desde joven, siendo un estudiante universitario comenzó su interés por la psicología. Estudiómedicina en la Universidad de Viena y se especializó en Medicina y Psiquiatría.  Trabajó en el Hospital General de Viena,  de 1937 a 1940 y ejerció la psiquiatría de forma privada. Durante dos años, de 1940 a1942 dirigió el departamento de neurología del hospital Rothschild (único hospital de Viena donde se admitían judíos en aquellos momentos).En diciembre de 1941 contrajo matrimonio con Tilly...
