Waiting For Godot
These two men inside the play, Estragon and Vladimir, we can find them in a very inhospitable place, an open, empty, dry and sad area wherewe just can visualize a tree, a willow almost without leaves, and we can notice through some part of the descriptions and dialogues that they are very messed up, waiting for someone that they don’tknow and someone they even aren’t sure who is, as can be demonstrate with this quote:
“ESTRAGON: To your man.-
VLADIMIR: To Godot? Tied to Godot? What an idea! No question of it [Pause.] For themoment.-
ESTRAGON: His name is Godot?-
VLADIMIR: I think so.”
So all that make us wonder what is the reason that leads a person to wait something or someone in such conditions? What is the sense? Ifthere’re any. In real life we spent the most of the time and the most part of our lives waiting for something, it doesn’t matter what, we only hope that it will be a good thing, and maybe we don’tnotice because we are not aware of it, but we spent our lives doing things that sometimes it doesn’t make sense to keep us busy while we wait for that especial thing.
