Walt Disney created Mickey Mouse and his buddies, including Donald, Minnie, Goofyand Pluto. He planned and founded Disneyland in California and Walt Disney World in Florida. Walt Disney is a legend.
He was the first to make a cartoon with sound in “Steamboat Willie”.
Walt Disneywas born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois, to his father Elias Disney, and mother Flora Call Disney.
In 1906, Walt´s family moved to Marceline, Missouri on a farm. It was here that he began todraw animals.
In 1911, the family moves to Kansas City where Walt Disney started work to deliver newspapers on his father´s paper route.
Walt had to start working young, selling candies andnewspapers on the train. Disney loved trains from a young age.
In 1918, Disney serves in World War I driving ambulances in France. After returning to the US, Disney won a scholarship to the Kansas City ArtInstitute.
There he discovered the world of animation, and Walt took to it.
In 1923, Walt Disney headed to Hollywood with his drawing materials and $ 40. He opened a business with his brother Roymaking animated films. They establish the Disney Brothers Studio.
In 1925 Walt and Lillian Bounds get married. They were later blessed with two daughters, Diane and Sharon.
