A violent burglary in Badajoz.
 
Last Friday night three men broke into a house in a luxurious suburb of Badajoz.
According to police investigations there were three menbetween 25 to 30 years old who broke into a bungalow in Villaarriba. The owners of the house, an English couple named Mr and Mrs Johns, were already asleep in their bedroomwhen some strange noises woke them up. At first they thought it was their son P. Johns who was out with friends that night. When Mr Johns came downstairs to check what hadhappened somebody hit him on his head. Mr Johns fell over and lost his consciousness. Mrs Johns who saw her husband lying on the floor tried to catch her phone to call for help butanother man pushed her onto a bed tying her legs and hands.
Some minutes later P. Johns came back home.
" I just wanted to open the garage when I saw the van, parked in frontof our house. Then I noticed that the front door was open.
At first I dialed my father’s mobile but I got no answer. Then I called the police to report a possible burglary",P. Johns told the police.
After P. Johns had called  the police two police cars and an ambulance arrived immediately and caught two of the three thieves. The third could escapethrough the terrace door.
Mr and Mrs Johns were taken to Son Espases hospital where they are still recovering from their wounds and the shock of the previous night.
In thevan which turned out to be stolen the police found various TV sets, computers, photo cameras, mobiles and many pieces of jewellery.
The two thieves were identified as25-year-old Pablo M. and 27-year-old Alberto P. It was only last year that they had been sentenced because of several burglaries and  a bank robbery.
