Was The Ending Of Macbeth Effective
Macbeth is a play written by William Shakespeare in the 17 century, it’s a tragedy including lots of dramatic scenes. In the play many characters arekilled, even main characters die. We can see more or less how the life was in those times.
The play includes witches, spirits, ghosts and supernatural beings, which this also increases and catches theattention of the audience; “what are this, so withered, and so wild in there attire, that look not like th’inhabitants o’the earth, and yet are on’t? Live you? Or are you aught that man may question?”This shows that even to characters they appear weird.
Characters also change a lot in the play, Macbeth and lady Macbeth become evil, and she says “Come you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts,unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty” then she says “O, never shall sun that morrow see! Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under’t.” LadyMacbeth manipulates and has complete power over Macbeth. “We fail? But screw your courage to the sticking place, and we’ll not fail. What cannot you and I perform upon th’unguarded Duncan? What not putupon his spongy officers, who shall bear the guilt of our great quell?” this is when she is telling Macbeth what to do and controlling him. At the end of the play lady Macbeth feels so much guilt ofwhat she has done that she becomes mad and starts to hallucinate then she commits suicide, this causes a great impact on the audience because since one of the main characters die, its like if the wholeplay has ended but actually the characters don’t really care about it.
Macbeth went to visit the witches and they tell him that he is going to be killed by someone that was not woman born, and tobe careful about Macduff because he is the one that is going to kill him, “ Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth! Beware Macduff, beware the thane of Fife. Dismiss me. Enough.” this is what the witches tell...
