A world without oil was an interesting topic. Everything in our everyday livesincludes oil we don’t notice it till its gone. the people from a world without oil did a research project on a world without out oil. To accomplish that project they asked normaleveryday people what they would do with a world without oil. They gathered all the data they got and came up with a idea of what a world without oil would look like. People sent thereopinion on the topic through blogs, through email, through phone, through pictures, and through video. Their focus of the project was to make getting ready for a world without oil more of agame. Everyone who entered their opinion were considered players in a game called a world without oil. Their slogan is “Play it before you live it”-World Without Oil because whodoesn’t like playing games so what better way than to get ready and be prepared for a crisis like that. In my opinion a world with out oil wouldn’t be a crisis. For some people it would but ithink the world would be a better cleaner quieter place. For example there would be no gas cars there would be no global warming and technology would explode into new more awesometechnologies other than oil. There would be a higher pressure to develop technologies that would make our civilization move up from Class 0 civilization which is a civilization thatharnesses energy from dead things to class 2 civilization that harnesses energy from its planet. The oil business is the only thing holding us back. There so much in stake for oilproduction to stop but if theres a crisis in oil then it would push for these new technologies . The video was really eye opening and it made me think about how much oil is holding us back.
