SUMMARY
This thesis analyzed the main aspects and characteristics of adolescence. The study set out to investigatehow the knowledge of these aspects and features can significantly help parents in counseling of adolescents. The study examined the fundamentals of adolescence in different contexts, physical, social, cultural, sexual, relational and emotional. Was searched accurate data and information that culminated in a relationship between quantitative and qualitative methods relating to the issue of counselingof adolescents.
The reliability and validity of the study were secured through research and definitions of concepts covered in several works written by national and international authors .. Investigations of the study left no doubt that the more parents know the world that surrounds teenagers they will be better prepared and more able to apply for counseling adolescents effectively. Whenconducting a literature search was taken into account the approach reference contained in recent decades.
The live of adolescents need to be properly analyzed and understood and absence of such knowledge entails a poor advice. It was clear that much depends on the choices of parents interest and seeks deeply to know the information necessary for the preparation of counseling adolescents. Theknowledge of this phase is key to obtain a satisfactory counseling. throughout the study and research was focused on obtaining information needed for a successful counseling.

1. INTRODUCTION
Manyconsider adolescence as the hormone that stirs the young and that confuses the minds of parents. Are convinced that the teenager is one who gives heart attack parental distress in mothers, brothers in anger, causing loyalty in friends, awakens attraction in the opposite sex, angry teachers, likes loud, experiencing new things and disrupts neighbors.
It is a fact that the teen is an athlete who takesrefuge in the arms of their parents, a driver apparently able to leave the car all broken, a coward who loses his life because it does not assess the danger that is all around you, it is not easy to deal with it because he cannot understand your own body and so is mocked even by their own colleagues, he feels a strong desire to solve society's problems, but it gets all jumbled with a simple matterof algebra, he prefers to stay without studying what to put in risk their intelligence in a school test.
The teen does not dare to leave his room tidy, but clean and leaves the car looking like a pearl, he is against each other in defense of their fathers that he mistreats. Novello (1990) considers adolescence quite complex for most parents today.
