What You Should Do If A Glassware Breaks
* If you cut yourself, immediately inform your lab instructor.
* Mercury spills are serious. A brokenthermometer contains enough mercury to kill everyone in your school.
o Never put a thermometer where it can roll off the counter.
Inform the teacher if youbreak a thermometer. NEVER touch the pretty little droplets, and certainly don’t step in them, or otherwise scatter them about.

* If a glassware breaks in the lab, what should we do is always to ask first the teacher what are her/his instructions.* In case she isn’t in the classroom for some reason, carefully pick up all the glass and throw it in the trash can and bring a new glassware nextclass.
NEVER pick up the glassware if this contains chemicals.
* You should always ask the teacher what you should do in case the glassware breaksand has chemicals.
* If you touch these chemicals, you could severely burn your hands, face, or feet.
* To avoid this to happen, you need toavoid bumping the glass to anything that it’s hard (desk, floor, sink, other glasses) and for safety rules, don’t wash to much the glass for avoiding damage.
