“WIND POWER”
WHAT IS IT? Wind energy is an abundant, renewable, clean and helps reduce emissions of greenhouse gases to replace power plants based on fossil fuels, which makes it a kind of green energy.
Is the energy from wind, is the kinetic energygenerated by the effect of air currents, and is transmuted into other useful forms for human activities.
HOW AND WHERE IS IT USED? Today, wind energy is mainly used to produce electricity throughwind turbines. At the end of 2011, worldwide capacity of wind-powered generators was 238 gigawatts. In 2011 the wind generated about 3% of global electricity consumption. In Spain, wind energy produced16% of electricity consumption in 2011.

ADVANTAGES: it does not pollute, is inexhaustible and slows thedepletion of fossil fuels contributing to prevent climate change. It is fully mature technology utilization and tuning.
It is one of the cheapest sources, avoids pollution involved transporting fuels, gas, oil, gas, coal.
DISADVANTAGES: The air to be a smaller specific gravity fluid involves large machines manufacture and therefore expensive. Its height can equal that of a building of ten or moreplants, produces an unavoidable visual impact, and which by its nature requires a few sites that usually turn out to be the biggest show the presence of the Machines (mountains, hills, coastline).A negative impact is the noise produced by the rotation of the rotor; its main drawback is the intermittency of wind.
“ENERGIA EOLICA”
¿QUE ES? La energía eólica es un recursoabundante, renovable, limpio y ayuda a disminuir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero al reemplazar termoeléctricas a base de combustibles fósiles, lo que la convierte en un tipo de energía...
