The parts of the graphical environment of operation of Windows 7 are: * The desktop, which is the primary user interface of a computer. It has a background (orwallpaper) and icons of files and folders you may have saved to the desktop. The desktop is the work area (everything that is displayed in the monitor) and it includes the pointer, the icons and thetaskbar, which is located at the bottom of the screen. * The pointer selects icons with one click and executes applications with two clicks. * The icons are the objects in the desktop and thereare two types: program icons and direct access icons. * The taskbar lets the access to many applications and it is composed by: the start button, direct access area, open applications area andstatus area.The Start menu is a feature of the Windows operating system that provides quick access to programs, folders, and system settings. By default, the Start menu is located in the lower-leftcorner of the Windows desktop.The Start menu contains two primary columns. The left column contains a list of the most commonly used programs, as well as an "All Programs" submenu, which displays all thecurrently installed applications. The bottom of the left column includes a search box, which can be used to search for programs and files.
