Public or Private Universities ?
Everyone in Chile wants the best education for the individual. Education is one of the most important factors in determining what a person will become as a member ofChilean’s society. The question is which one. Public or Private university ? There are many questions that are asked for which are the better. This essay will look at the similarities and differencesbetween these aspects of these two types of universities.

There are some similarities between the two types of universities. At first, the core subjects studied in a same career in bothuniversities are similar. In addition the academic level in both universities is similar, since both public and private universities have the same teachers.
However, despite these similarities are a greaternumber of differences.
First of all, infrastructure is quite different. The private universities have big and complete libraries with a lot of computers with the best technology with internet access,free wi-fi. The classrooms have conditioner air, their design are like a stadium for more or less thirty students. In contrast, the public universities have small libraries, with just one or two copiesof each book. They do not have computer room. The classrooms are sometimes wet, they do not have air conditioner and always in each class there are more than one hundred students.

The nextdifference is the cost. In the same career in some cases the private universities can be twice more expensive than a public universities. Finally, there are greater differences in opportunities when thegraduates try to get job. People whom study in a private university meet people whom their parents have important positions in big companies and some of them are actually owner of them, so when thestudent finish the university, most of them get very good and well paid jobs.
