Welcome to Xauen

Xawen is a city and a capital of Maroco. It´s in a northwest of the country.
It´s between Rif´s montains near Tetuoan.
It´s in the region of Tangier-Tetouan.it has gotabout 35.709 habitants.
Shauen is a short name of the city but its name in Spanish as In this moment is using Xauen (the French´s name is Chefchaouen).
This country has got many historybecause in this place lived many exiles of andalus(muslims and jews) because Xauen is very similar a many countries of Andalucia (sourth Spain).

This cityis considered a “Holy city” and you can visit:

*kaliya: Has got tomato,lamb, onions and pepers.
*pastille: Has got lamb our chicken, spicy and almond paste. Allthis with puff pastry dought and coocked many sugar.
*Mechoui: roast lamb
Maroccan meals are accompanied always with cous-cous, it a paste made with flour( meat, lamb, vegetables…)
Maroccansare muslims, so they don’t drink alcohol.
