My presentation is about the life of a famous actor, his name is :
Robert John Downey Jr. he was born April 4, 1965. He is an American actor who made his screen debut in 1970 at the age of five,and has worked consistently in film and television ever since.
I decided to talk about this actor because is one of my favorite ones, also because not only I consider him an excellent actor, but also Iadmire his personal strength and the way he finally succeeded his fight against drugs and alcohol.
Between 1996 and 2001, Downey was frequently arrested on drug-related charges. After being releasedfrom rehab in 2000, Downey joined the cast of the hit television series Ally McBeal. His performance was praised and received good reviews , but his character was written out when Downey was firedafter two drug arrests in late 2000 and early 2001. After one last stay in a court-ordered drug treatment program, in the long run Downey achieved lasting sobriety and his career began to take offagain.
In 2008, Downey was cast as the title character in the comic book adaptation Iron Man. The film was a huge success, and its opening weekend is still in the top 25 openings of all time. Heperformed the role of Tony Stark in the 2010 sequel, Iron Man 2, again in 2012 in The Avengers, and in the third film of the planned trilogy, Iron Man 3. Downey's other 2008 films included CharlieBartlett and the Ben Stiller-directed. In 2009, Downey starred as fictional British detective Sherlock Holmes . Soon after Sherlock Holmes, Downey won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a MotionPicture – Musical or Comedy for that performance of the famous detective.

Personal life
Downey started dating actress Sarah Jessica Parker after meeting her on the set of Firstborn. They separatedin 1991 because of his drug addiction.
