A BRIEF HISTORY OF LANGUAGE TEACHING

According with to Kelly (1969) and Howatt (1984) sixty percent of today’s world population is multilingual. Both from contemporary and historical perspective, bilingualism or multilingualism is the norm rather than the exception. I think that this was a join initiative, even though Latin was continue teaching, at the same time these proposal was the first step of the status of Latin diminished, not right away, butlittle by little lost their position in the following century .
In the eighteenth century when Latin tongue lost Its position this was replaced by vernacular languages and enter to European schoolbut they use the same procedure of Latin structure
