Penny Hancock
After several years in London, Penny Hancock now lives in Cambridge with her husband and three children. She is a part time primary school teacher and speech and language school and has travelled extensively as a language teacher
The 3 personal qualities for her are acceptance,empathy and humour, her best quality is accepting other flaws, she regret not listening properly to the people she loves.
CHARACTERS
* Fanella: an editor in a publishing company. She looked like the person that is very sad but the people around her think that is the happier person in the world (page 5). ). Fanella thought that Teresa was so lucky, because she had a fabulous son, and he was allshe wanted, but she didn’t feel envious because she was a good friend (page 7). She was 21 years old and Steven didn’t want that she felt bad ( page 9 ) I think that she was too young for have a child and settle down , she had a lot of things before have a family and have all the responsibilities that carry have a home. Physically she was small, with a natural country-girl face and short hair darkhair and dark brown eyes (page 10). She couldn’t bear the idea of living without a child (page 10). On page 30 said that Fanella felt lonelier than ever, not have a man for some woman are the worst thing that could happen, but we have to be independent and not base the happiness in another person different of us. On page 31 Fanella felt that everything was against her and this thought is producebecause the low self-esteem that she had. Another important aspect in Fanella´s character is when she said on page 76 that she would try her best to turn her feelings in a different direction; I think that it is impossible because we can handle our mind but not our feelings. This character considered that people mustn´t let other people´s opinions affect you (page 90).
* Teresa: Fanella´sbest friend, she had a children, his name was Timothy. She is a very good friend because she didn’t dude to say if Fanella could come to this house, we can see there the value of the friendship and the loyal, exist few friends like her.
He had long brown hair (page 6).
* She always interfered in people´s lives when she saw an opportunity to make them happier (page 48). I consider that she hadthe value of the friendship and the love , no all the people have the enthusiasm of help people because they think that they have our own problems and that other people can resolve their problems because are their life’s and that is so selfish.
* Rod: He worked in a school in Cambridge (page 12). He enjoyed his job so much (page 15), a lot of people work for have money, well the majorityand that is so bad because we have to love our work, to have passion for what we do.
* He had lovely eyes and black hair; he looked like tom cruise (page 20).
* . On page 79 said that he have anger with himself for having been so blind for so long, and that happen a lot because when someone is unfaithful with you, you don´t have angry with that person you get angry because you felt afrustration with yourself and you felt like you are the most stupid person around the world.
* Leah: Rod´s wife. She worked as a freelance interior designer (page 12). Leah placed high value on how things looked (page 16). She had blond hair (page 16) and she loved her job (page 17). She cheated on rob with Mr. Simpson (page 78).
* Ellie: A five year old girl, she was adopted by Fanella,she hate school (page 45). She was a lovely child with a real character. On page 52 said that Ellie enjoyed come to school, the problem before was the school not that she hate the school and it happens a lot in our reality.
* She didn’t want a child and this had become the cause of many arguments between rod and her (page 66). She considered that work with children was the idea of hell (page...
