A Storm In Lima

A storm in Lima
It was a dark cold winter night; the sky was full of clouds. I was happy because I had no homework so I started chatting on the phone with a friend who has been living abroad formany years and I hadn’t talked him for a long time. We had a lot of adventures when we were children, but he had to move to the USA because his father got a job there. We were talking about his life inthe USA, when suddenly I heard a strange noise.
“What was that? Are you OK Jean-Pierre?” ,he asked through the phone
“Yes, I’m fin….”, I said but there was no signal.
So I left the phone and Ithought carefully, “It sounded like a thunder, but…. a thunder storm in Lima? It was impossible!”

I was a bit confused for all the noise and everything, but then I started watching TV and I just ignoredit. But 10 minutes later, I heard it again but now it was closer. Then, all the lights went off. I was totally terrified, my legs were shaking and I was pale, because I was alone at home.Fortunately, the lights turned on some minutes later, I caught my breath and decided to go to the bathroom to wash my face because I’d been so nervous, my legs kept shaking so it was difficult for me to walk.When I reached the bathroom I turned the knob but there wasn’t water, I turned it again but it didn’t work. I went back my bed to try to sleep in order to relax and forget everything but I couldn’t, Iwatched TV but I started thinking what would happen if there were a real thunder storm, all the disasters that could happen and everything. Finally, I fell asleep.

When I woke up, I was totallydisorientated; I was sweating a lot because I had a nightmare. It was about me walking in the street, when suddenly an earthquake started, then some rays fell from the sky close to me and an huge wave wascoming, it looked like 2012 the film but worse, in that moment I woke up. I realized that all the lights were off again and I heard another strange noise, so I started looking for where it came...
