A valuable lesson
One of the best experiences of my life was to discover that business is what I want to do for living. Since I was a little girl I liked to sell things just for having fun. For mewas very important to save money to buy anything I liked. Although my parents always tried to buy everything I wanted, I preferred to buy my toys by myself. Viewing this my dad assumed that I likedthings related to business and that I could be good at it. Because my dad studied business administration, and his job has to do with management of money and resources, all my life I have heard aboutthese topics. With this influence I never doubt about what I was going to study but when I needed to take the real decision and choose the school and major I wanted, I realized that my life depended onthis decision. From this moment all my life was going to be focus on business, so I began to doubt whether this was really what I wanted.
On 5th semester, at business class, we had a project that weneeded to develop during the whole semester. This project consisted on organizing a mechanic attraction fair, making our own enterprise profitable as much as we could. The project was exciting becauseit was a competition between seventeen teams. I knew I wanted to win that competition, but I didn’t know how I was going to get money and where I was going to rent a mechanic attraction. Then Istarted searching for fairs around the city where I could get suppliers, making calls to potential sponsors and organizing an inefficient team. We started getting money by selling donuts and tickets for araffle. At the end my team woke up and started working harder. After all the pressure, the day of the fair, everything resulted as planned. Our enterprise achieved more profits, we won the competitionand we had so much fun.
