Abstract
The study of the greenhouse gases effects and global climate have a huge importance to know more about the main problems that are affecting our world. Effects related with global warming, such as rise of sea level, more precipitations, less ice and snow, extreme climate events, floods and droughts, can have a great challenge in human beings life and in environment system.
Human’s activities have a great influence in global climate and that is why, people has to be aware about this problems and should act to do something as soon as possible.
There is still a hope for decreasing effects of greenhouse gases and climate change, butwork has to start soon, the work for a sustainable world where human and nature can live together in harmony.

1. Introduction

Climate change is one of the main problems in our world today, which is affecting society, economy and environment. New technologies are looking for reducing greenhouse gases and solving this global challenge. (U.S Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, 2010)
To improve our knowledge about climate change and its effects is important to reach inscientific books and essays. To analyze some of this information is the best way to know more about the current problems in our world, and to raise the awareness.

1.1 Background
Nowadays, one of the main problems of the current society is the “Climate Change” and all the effects due to this phenomenon. The greenhouse gases and their effects on the earth’s climate have been analyzed in thelast years and they have been the “spotlight” of the media. Many problems are related with this fact, such as increased or decreased precipitation, sea level rising, melted ice, extreme weather events, migration and extinction of many species, alteration of ecosystems, material damage, etc. (Claes Bernes, A Warmer World- The Greenhouse Effect and Climate Change, Intergovernmental Panel on ClimateChange, 2001)
A change in the mentality of human beings is necessary for changing this situation and for getting a sustainable world where the sustainable development is possible. Understanding of Sustainable development is a “development that meets the needs of present generations without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”.(The Brundtland Commission, “OurCommon Future”)
1.2 Problem Definition
As said before, the principal problems are the Greenhouse effect and the global warming, which are affecting the whole earth, and consequently, ecosystems and humans.
Among different factors affecting these problems; we shall look at the factors that can change climate, the climate change in modern times, the causes of climate change nowadays, analyze sourcesand sinks of greenhouse gases, examine the climate over the next hundred years, effects of climate change in environment and society and possible solutions for this huge problem.
1.3 Objectives
The aim of this study is to examine the main problems related to global warming and its effects in the environment and society. The main focus should be on summary of the book analyzed and the shortreview.
1.4 Methodology
This study uses data originated from the “A Warmer World” book which were published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (Climate Change,2001), this book is supplemented with a lot of information related to Sweden and important facts of climate change in this country. (Claes Bernes, A Warmer World- The Greenhouse Effect and Climate Change, Intergovernmental...
