This paper will show the importance about e-business and e-commerce, security, legislation, the basis of HLTM, types of e-business model and the elements of a good website design.

The purpose of this document is to explain the importance of each of these to OBC, as well as some recommendations that can help the college.

Task 1

1.1 Describe the present environment for e-business, to illustrate what business transactions are possible today over the Internet.

The present environment for E- Business (e-Biz) is now a very familiar term with most businesses and people. This has now taken such a wide coverage and reach that is no longer an alternate means of business transactions, but an integral part of any kind of business. Whatever the business model, products orservices, it is critical to have online presence with some transaction opportunities to keep potential customers/user engaged. E-business now encompasses almost every opportunity, either commercial or interactional, and provides a wide range of choices of technologies and means to offer them.

It is a fact that the emergence of e - business and new services provided online have been the trigger fora radical transformation not only of the companies and the way of doing business, also lifestyle and even education; included the changes not only economic, but also social and cultural.

E-business is constantly evolving phenomenon so are continually generating new types of e-business. More and more types of organizations will be those that are converted to digital format, as technology rapidlyadvances and opens new frontiers every day

E - business for users: access, speed of transactions, security and reliability.

E-business for organization: providing services and products, customers contacts, personalized marketing, be innovative and competitive, improve service, and reduce costs and new image.

Types of business transaction:

Online Auctions: Online auctions are moredemocratic than those held in physical auction houses, because this medium allows the participation of anyone with a connection.

Portals of sale between individuals: Whoever wishes may be bidder, buyer or both at once.

Electronic Banking and E-Banking: Electronic banking is one of the most successful businesses of the network. It allows customers to access their bank accounts and operate througha user-friendly Web site, online banking saves time and money for users and companies.

Electronic Guides: Guides are always useful to find a particular service or product.

Engineering Online: Today is not relevant where the engineers. Anyone with Internet access can participate in development. They have created joint development tools.

Electronic Gaming: They are one of the mostprofitable businesses on the Internet.

E learning: Online learning offers a new dimension of digital learning. Instead of receiving a CD or floppy disk containing an executable file that explains a topic and containing an assessment, the student access to online material. And student can also consult and chat with other people who are online at the course.
