I Have A Dream
Martin Luther used his words, and urged every citizen of this nation to create a brotherhood. “A colorless brotherhood, in which the sons of former slave owners and the sons of former slaveswould be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood. A brotherhood where we would all work together, pray together, struggle together, go to jail together and stand up for freedom together.A brotherhood where a Negro wouldn’t be a victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. A brotherhood where Negros could lodge in the motels of highways after the heavy fatigue of travel.”He used the magnificent words of the constitution and put them to work as they have been supposed to be working. What I admire about him is that he did not urge the Negro community to go againstthe White community but to emphasize the magnificent dream he had about having a colorless brotherhood and working together side to side without segregation or discrimination. All races workingtogether for a better nation.
I really liked the speech; I have never read it or heard it before. It amazed me how he expressed his discomfort against the racial injustice. He expressed himself ina legitimate way with peace and justice. I liked how he emphasized that when dealing with justice and gaining a rightful place, we must fight with dignity and discipline. With that dream he had andshared to this nation he encouraged his fellow brothers to also build their own dream of that colorless brotherhood and everyone to build a nation full of prosperity and to pursuit happiness.
