Chapter 1:
Why did Mr Lockwood visit Wuthering Heights?
Because he heard the house, Thrushcross Grange, was available for renting. The owner of said house was Heathcliff,who lived at Wuthering Heights. He went to Wuthering Heights first (braving a very bad snow storm) to converse with the owner about renting the place, and stayed overnight due to the snow.

Howwould you describe Mr Heathliff?
He is the antagonist of the story and the main catalyst. He's adopted by the Earnshaw's and becomes the prodigal son of Mr.Earnshaw. He also has a violent dispositionand is known for mental and physical violence. His disposition causes the death of many of the characters.

Who were the people Mr Lockwood met on his second visit?
Heathcliff (thelandlord), his daughter-in-law (Catherine), Hareton Earnshaw, Joseph & Zilla.

Who was Nelly Dean?
Nelly Dean is the narrator in Wuthering Heights, telling her story to Lockwood. She was the maid ofCatherine, Hindley, and Heathcliff when they were young and followed Catherine when she married Edgar Linton to his house, Thrushcross Grange.
How did Joseph, the servant, treat the boy the first time hesaw him?
He said that the child is as dark as he came from the devil, because he was always praying and reading de Bible.
