Teacher´S Diploma Course
First Week of work in TDC based on the introduction of second language learning hypothesis and educational researchers Sthephen Krashen and Howard Gardner.
Ice-breaker was animportant topic to start with during the first day. It helped us to understand how relevant is to prepare students for the English class. Ice-breaker is the tool we use to involve students to our Englishworld in a nice and very interactive way. Students see this activities as a game, but as we saw in the course making kids play is a way of learning or making a review of their previews classes. We alsochecked the steps a class should follow in order to make it complete, this is through planning. Planning helps us to follow an order where our students will get an efficient class. Also we are goingto be able to get a feedback at the end of our correct management of the class. We review each part of the class planning and we made an exercise related to it.
The steps we should follow or havein mind are the following ones:
1. Ice-breaker
2. Warm up
3. Presentation
4. Drills (in different order)
5. Feedback

But this process is not that easy, that´s why it is necessary to understandhow or which are the best ways to introduce it to a student. We have to get in mind the different ways students learn depending on their each. In the case of beginners are some specifications. The mainidea is to make a beginner to have an oral comprehension, some kind of demand for speaking without forcing the student. And most important, the teacher should use a language where students be ableto understand his speaking.
Stephen Krashen has five hypothesis where he explains the different factors involve in the teaching process.
1) Acquisition-learning hypothesis
2) The input...
