Discursive Essay
Museums are a waste of money.
Throughout history museums (museums is not capitalized because it is not a proper noun! if it were the name of a specific museum it would becapitalized) have been a crucial pattern of our civilization and culture. However, some people believe that coming to a museum is neither productive nor entertaining. It is known that the statistics showthat museums have become very important for our society. Museums have always provided information and evidence about how people lived in the past.
It is known that museums help people learn moreabout our ancient civilizations. For example, when students visit a museum they learn about different subjects such as Science, Biology, Astrology, and Geology. Moreover, they learn about different ageson Earth and the different creatures that used to roam around the world.
On the other hand investing in a Museum is not a good business. Besides, it is not commercial and sometimes their fees aretoo expensive to visitors. It is known that the information given there is not always appropriate or clear for children. (In this paragraph you are introducing a new idea. If I am judging from yourfirst paragraph, your antithesis was about how “going to a musuem is neither productive nor entertaining...but here you are talking about how it is not a good business. Choose one of the two ideas andchange your paragraph or your contrasting sentence in the first paragraph so that the ideas are more consistent)
In conclusion, I believe that opening and keeping museums alive is so important forour society because they provide valuable information about the past.
