Pop music is defined as a combination of different musical genres that are highly popular in society. This type of music is made to behighly commercialized. Many cite the beginning of this genre during the 50s
Historically, the term "pop music" was not understood as a genre withspecific musical characteristics. The music listed as "Pop", short for "popular music" was understood as the opposite of worship music, classical music.
Thepop was understood as that great band for people with little musical culture. Over time, the pop has been winning its meaning as a genre independent music,books, also of negative and pejorative sense to be linked.
The Spanish Language Dictionary defines' pop 'as' a kind of light music and popular musicalstyles derived from black and British folk music, "being the term from the English pop, popular shortened.

Shakira, PaulinaRubio, Juanes, Thalia, David Bisbal, Alex Syntek, Chayanne, Belinda, among others.
Pop music singers in English are:
Michael Jackson, Madonna, BritneySpears, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Jonas Brothers, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, among others .
The pop music has become a familiar genre that many people sing, fromchildren to adults.
