◘GeographyLocation: is located in northwestern Argentina. Its capital is the city of San Miguel de Tucuman. The province of Tucuman isthe smallest province in Argentina. The province is divided into 17 departaments.

Geography: Tucuman is divided into three areas: east Pampas de tucuman, Summit Calchaquies west belonging to the EasternCordillera, Sierras Subandinas northwest.

Climate: The climate is subtropical with dry season in winter. During the months of October and March rains predominate over 1,000 mm annually. Theaverage annual maximum temperature is 25 degrees with a minimum of 13 º. Summers are long, hot and humid. Temperature is 30ºC to 33ºC and nighttime lows around 20ºC from November to march.

Population:Census 2010: 1, 448,200 inhabitants.

Economy: Industrial Activities
◘ Sugar Industry: Tucuman is the major sugar producer in Argentina. Currently there are 15 sugar mills.
◘ Citrus industry:predominates in Tucuman lemon industrialization, which takes place in 8 factories. Frozen concentrated juices, essential oils (used in perfumes, soaps and flavor), dehydrated skin and frozen pulp. It isa modernized industry. Tucuman is the largest producer in the world.

Culture: the most important festivals in the province of Tucuman are: De la pachamama, Del Queso- De la feria- De la Zamba- Dela empanada- Del limón- De la caña de azúcar- Del zafrero performed in different periods of the year.
Music: The music is traditional folklore and its instruments are: bombo, charango, caja, quena yerke.
