CONCEPTO ANIMALES VIVOS
Son aquellos seres vivos que poseen movimiento, cumplen el ciclo vital de nacer, crecer, reproducirse y morir, sienten, y se alimentan de sustancias orgánicas, presentes en el mundo exterior, que lesproporcionan energía, denominándose por ello heterótrofos, ya que no producen su propio alimento.
Sus alimentos son las plantas u otros animales.
Clasificación es en vertebrados e invertebrados, según posean o no un esqueleto interno articulado. Dentro de los vertebrados se distinguen los mamíferos, las aves, los peces, los reptiles y los anfibios. Según nazcan de huevos o se gesten en el interior de lahembra de la especie, se clasifican en ovíparos y vivíparos.
ANIMALES VIVOS Y PRODUCTOS DEL REINO ANIMAL
1. En esta Sección, cualquier referencia a un género o a una especie determinada de un animal se aplica también, salvo disposición en contrario, a los animales jóvenes de ese género o de esa especie.
2. Salvo disposición en contrario, cualquier referencia en la Nomenclatura a productos secoso desecados alcanza también a los productos deshidratados, evaporados o liofilizados.
Nota Complementaria.
1. En los Capítulos 1 y 3, las expresiones Reproductores de raza pura, Para reproducción o cría industrial y Para lidia, comprenden los animales considerados como tales por las autoridades nacionales competentes.
