Location
Canada is in the hemisphere North America. Its borders are:
North: Arctic Ocean that separates it from Greenland.
South: the United States.
East: Atlantic Ocean
West: Alaska and the Ocean Pacific.
Canada includes in addition to the territory on the continent a large number of Islands, forming the Arctic Archipelago.
Major cities
Ottawa is the capital of the country.Other important cities are: Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg.
Population
The Canadian population is very diverse. Around 28% is of British origin, 23% French.
In growth is the population of Asian origin, and the rest of the population consists of descendants of immigrants of German, Italian, Scandinavian, Polish, Hungarian, Greek and Netherlands.
Education
The education system is derived from theBritish, American and French traditions in areas where particular population is from this source. Many schools provide bilingual education in English and French.
Each of the 10 provinces of Canada is responsible for establishing and maintaining its own education system.
While there is a central Ministry of education, the federal Government serves schools for Canadian citizens.

Flora and Fauna

Fauna is very similar to the North and AsiaEurope. They can be found bears, wolves, coyotes, American lions and pumas among other carnivorous animals. There are polar bears in the Arctic regions.
In some areas may see beavers, porcupines, and numerous rodents. In flat regions there are moles.
Some areas of Canada are also the habitat of antelopes, reindeer and moose.
There is an also abundant and diverse variety of birds, reptiles andinsects.

Canada does not have a President of the Republic because it is a country that operates under a system of monarchy parliamentary. Its head of Government or Prime Minister today is Mr. Stephen Harper.
Canada is characterized as 'very progressive, diverse and multicultural' policies of the Government of Canada, such as: The health care financed with public funds, taxes higher and moreprogressive, which prohibits the death penalty, efforts to eliminate poverty, an emphasis on cultural diversity, and more recently the legalization of same-sex marriage - are indicators of political values social and cultural of Canada
