CAT AND MOUSE

Purpose: To make students have a great time and at the same time to create rapport.
Procedure: Choose 3 or 4 students from the class to be the catchers or the “cats” and send them to the end of the hall or playground to “sleep.” Give each of the remaining student’s colored bands or bibs to tuck into their pants, shorts or skirts (to be their mouse tails). Shout Wake up cats!Then, they chase the mice and try to catch their tails. The cats have to catch as many tails as they can until they are all gone. When a mouse loses his or her tail, he or she has to sit down. At the end, count the tails and the cat with most tails is the winner.

NEITHER “YES” NOR “NO”
Purpose: To practice and strength yes-no questions, and different short answers.
Steps:
1- The teacher hasto have enough coins or squares of paper for all the students.
2- The teacher has to give from one to ten coins or squares of paper to each student.
3- The teacher has to explain to students that they will walk around the classroom, then they will talk to the other students using mainly yes-no questions. The only rule is that they cannot say the words yes-no. When some student accidentallysays one of the words he or she has to give a coin or a square of paper to the person he or she said it to.
4- The teacher will let students know how much time the activity will last.
5- The teacher will say the word “start” to indicate the activity has begun.
6- When the teacher says the word “stop” the activity will finish, and the winner will be the person who has the highestquantity of coins or squares of paper.

CATCH ME IF YOU CAN
Purpose: To have fun and know some names of our wearing.
Steps:
1- Choose a number of students to form two lines face to face in the center of the classroom. Give approximately 30 seconds to look at their partners taking all the details about them.
2- Students have to move from the center.
3- Give students 15-20 seconds tochange some accessories which they are wearing (i.e they can borrow some accessories from their classmates, change a watch, remove a belt, etc.) the changes must be discrete, but visible to the partner.
4- The players turn again face to face and have 30 seconds to discover the partner’s changes. The person who discovers most of the changes is the winner.


WHO AM I?
Purpose: To developstudent’s skill in a funny way.
Steps:
1- Prepare cards with famous people’s names. (one per participant)
2- Choose five students to participate.
3- Stick one card on the back of each participant.
4- In order, each participant must show his/her back to the rest of students.
5- The rest of students must help the participants with clues related to the cards that were put on the back ofeach participant.

FRUIT BASKET
Purpose: Students get fun and motivated to start the class.
Procedure: First, the teacher invites students to sit making a circle, and he assigns the name of some fruits to them.
Then, the teacher has to tell a story. Every time he says the name of a fruit during the story, students who have that name have to stand up and move around looking for a place to sit.SMILING?
Purpose: To have a great time with students by doing gestures or making faces.
Rules: speaking is not allowed.
Procedure:
1- Choose 6 students to come to the front and make couples, and then ask somebody to be the judge.
2- Have a chair in the middle of the classroom and ask a couple to go to the chair and one of them will be sat in the chair. The standing person has to makehis or her couple smile, and if he or she does, the person who is sat has to give his or her life.
3- The rest of the class will be passing a ball or an object to each other to indicate when time is up.
4- The judge has to pay attention to the couple competing and when time is up, the judge has to tell you who the winner was.
