ENERGY CONSUMPTION IN A HOME

* Theenergy consumption in households is given mainly by the amount of electrical appliances that have a home, their specific energy consumption and time in which they areused.
* Each of the appliances used at home consume different amounts of energy, depending on their power and how long should be used per day or per week, aswell as other conditions. For example, water of the shower, the roaster pan and the iron heater work with resistors which convert electricity into heat andenergy-intensive (possess more than 1,000 watts of power); However, the toaster is used only for a few minutes, while the iron is used more time and, therefore, consumesmore electricity. In the case of a computer the greater energy consumed is the monitor, which has an estimated power of 75 watts.
