England is a country which is located in United Kingdom and it occupies two third of the island of Great Britain and 83 percent of total UK population. England hasScotland towards the North, Wales towards the West and North sea , Irish sea, Celtic sea, Bristol Channel and English Channel on other sides. The capital of England is London. London is the largest Urban area of Great Britain. It can also be considered as the most developed and urbanized area of the entire European Union
Government
England’s government is called a Parliamentary Monarchy. The monarchfor England is Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch, also known as the Crown, is the head of state in England. It serves as the head of the judiciary, commander in chief of the armed forces, supreme governor of the Church of England, and Church of Scotland, and summons and dismisses Parliament and ministers of the cabinet.
Economy, currency
The Economy of England is the largest economy of the fourcountries of the United Kingdom.England is a highly industrialised country. It is an important producer of textiles and chemical products. Although automobiles, locomotives, and aircraft are among England's other important industrial products, a significant proportion of the country's income comes from the City of London. The British pound sterling is the official currency of England and thecentral bank of the United Kingdom, the Bank of England, is located in London
Religion
Christianity is the most widely practiced and declared religion in England. The Anglican Church of England is the established church of England holding a special constitutional position for the United Kingdom. After Christianity, religions with the most adherents are Islam, Hinduism, Sikhism, Judaism, Buddhism, theBahá'í Faith, the Rastafari movement and Neopaganism. There are also organisations which promote irreligion, atheist humanism, and secularism.
Gastronomy
The Gastronomy of England has a lot of influence from India and spices used heavily. The vegetables are scarce and if used are cooked. The meat or fish is usually served with peas, cereals or legumes.
Sports
England has a strong sportingheritage, and during the 19th century codified many sports that are now played around the world. Sports originating in England include association football,[281] cricket, rugby union, rugby league, tennis, badminton, squash,[282] rounders,[283] hockey, boxing, snooker, billiards, darts, table tennis, bowls, netball, thoroughbred horseracing and fox hunting. It has helped the development of sailingand Formula One. Football is the most popular of these sports.

Weather in England varies from one day to another and throughout the country as a whole. Perhaps the two words that best describe the England Weather are changeable and unpredictable. The climate of England on the whole is temperate with warm wet summers and cool wet winters.Known for its temperate maritime climate, Englandhas rarely experienced temperatures below 0 degree Celsius. In fact, the maritime influence on climate in England has hardly ever allowed its summer temperatures to cross 32 degree Celsius.

Major cities of England include London, Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Bradford, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, Coventry, Leicester, and Nottingham. These cities are known world over fortheir magnificent structures, exquisite art galleries and museums, and as major shopping destinations.
