Groundhog Day
Groundhog Day is a movie based on an old tradition American farming, which involves observing the behavior of a groundhog day 2nd of February each year in order to predict whetherit has already reached the end of winter or not. This film is a masterpiece obr directed by Harold Ramis, who as he did in "Ghostbusters" and "Stripes", retells his favorite Actor Bill Murray.
PhillCnonnors (Bill Murray) is a meteorologist journalist of a television of Pittsburgh that with his new editor Rita (Andie McDowell) and her cameraman Larry (Chris Elliott) attend Puxstauny a smallpopulation as avitual every 2nd February to cover the village party news which coincides with Groundhog Day and the completion of winter. Phillis is a frustrated man who has become disillusioned andthinks his career is not progressing as fast as he expected. After finishing the story of Groundhog, the news team prepares to return to Pitsburgh for broadcast on the news of the 5 but surprisingly aheavy snowstorm forces them to spend the night in town. When Phill wakes the next morning and heard the same song on the radio that he had heard the previous day Phil realizes that starting over on 2ndof February. So day after day Phill relives Groundhog day drawing on information from the previous day as it is the only one aware of this strange phenomenon. One could say that Phil was caught intime.
This film caused a great impact on its viewers as it was an idea that has never before been tried and both Bill Murray and Andie McDowell do a good job directed by the great Harold Ramis. Thefilm also has a good soundtrack which highlights the song that wakes up every morning Phill "I Got You Baby" by Sonny and Cher. I personally think it is a good movie where we can see how it changes thepersonality of the protagonist coming to take very different characters.
