www.HelpingAffiliate.comEmail Marketing Overview
The money’s in the list. We’ve all heard this expression, if we’ve been in the affiliate marketing world for any amount of time. And guess what? This is 100% CORRECT! Unfortunately, even though we hear this on a daily basis, at least 90% of the affiliate marketers out there DO NOT build mailing lists! Whether they do not know how to, or if they don’t know how togenerate traffic for the list, they are missing out on THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars! Now, if you’re one of the people who has been interested in learning about affiliate marketing, great! This course should teach you pretty much EVERYTHING that you need in order to start gathering your first list! And if you’re someone who’s tried to build a list and failed in the past, don’t worry, I’ll show youhow to it right. But, unfortunately, like all of Internet marketing, there will be work required. If you want to build a list of tens of thousands in weeks with no work, I’ll have to disappoint you and clarify that there WILL be work required. But please, PLEASE do not say that building a mailing list is hard. NOTHING in Internet marketing is hard. Yes, Internet marketing can be time-consuming,and mentally draining, but when put into manageable chunks, there is absolutely nothing difficult about Internet marketing, and this, of course, includes email marketing! So, let’s get to learning!

Benefits of Email Marketing
I’ve been so excited to talk to you about email marketing, and I FINALLY get to list all the benefits of it! Much more sales. If you’reselling something on your website, chances are that less than 5% of your traffic will actually convert into a buyer. After all, many people don’t know you, or trust you, so why would they buy from you, even with the most kick-ass sales letters at your disposal? So what happens to the other 95% of your visitors? Absolutely nothing. They’re gone. Forever. But what if each visitor gets an offer for afew free gifts, or free reports? They opt in to your email list, where the game is more in your favor! Rather than losing them forever, asking them for their name and email, even ethically “bribing” them with incentives, is a MUCH less threatening way to open up a line of communication. Much more so than asking for their credit card, that’s for sure. After all, it’s all about building up trust!Because when someone trusts you, and you advertise something you think will benefit them, they buy it  Repeated sales. There’s an old sales concept that it’s about 10 times MORE expensive to acquire a new customer, than to KEEP an old one. Therefore, there’s a big chance that much of the first sale is just recouping the costs of the acquiring of your customer. But now that you’ve had someone buyONCE, you put them in your “privileged” list! These people have TRUSTED YOU enough to purchase whatever you’ve advertised once! So as long as you don’t let them down, they’ll trust you again… and again, and again!

Keeping these buyers happy can mean, on average, that the customer will spend 4 times more than the original product purchase! Up-selling andCross-selling. Last time you’ve been at McDonalds, you probably gotten the famous quote, “Would you like fries with that?” Well, McDonalds makes BILLIONS of dollars with this up-sell offer. Think about this. If a person is interested in buying a certain golf club, CHANCES ARE, if you offer them a discount on golf balls, and other accessories, they’ll be happy to buy these as well! Surveys rock.
