Zapata was studied thePrimary Education in the small Village of the small Town. When he was 16 years old, he lost his Mother and 11 months later his father. In 1906 he attended a board of peasants in Cuautla, to discuss how to defend against the neighboring landowners the landof the Town. As reprisal, in 1908 was forced to join the ninth regiment of Cuernavaca, a form of punishment, to which he was known as Leva, and that was prevalent during the Porfiriato. In 1909 He waselected president of the board of defense of the land of Anenecuilco. With "Land and Freedom" as scream of war became part in 1910 of the Mexican Revolution of Francis I. Madero, which sought tooverthrow the regime of Porfirio Diaz.

On November 25, 1911, Developed a program of agrarian reform with the name of the Plan of Ayala. The first distribution of the land of Zapata was in Ixmiquilpan,Puebla, on 30 April 1912.  The warlord of the South was assassinated on April 10, 1919 in Morelos, in an ambush organised by Jesus Guajardo at the hacienda de Chinameca.
