Ignorance and manipulation in “animal farm”

During the book of George Orwell, “animal farm”, the writer critizes how the totalitarian regime grows not just because of their strategies andmotives of the absolutist lyders, but from the ignorant, loyal and hard workers. The inability to question the pigs authority condemns the animal to suffer of Napoleon regime all threw the book, withouttaking care of the constant abuse of their work and loyalty.


The role of Benjamin when opposing the pigs authority plays and important role in the animal's social and politicaloppression.Even though Benjamin has the knowledge needed to realize about the true intentions of the pigs, he never does nothing to warn the other animals.When squealer is caught altering of of thecommandments, Benjamin is the only one that realize what it is really going on with the pigs, but he decides not to say anything to the other animals.All throught the years until the end of the story, he is theonly one who knows what is really going on, but keeps the secret and pessimistically believe that life will be unpleasant no matter what he says to the other animals. We can finally say that Benjaminwas one of the guilty animals of the dictatorship of napoleon and the other pigs, because knowing everything he decided just to sat and watch.


The animal's absolute trust in the propaganda is animportant factor in their manipulation. Every word that comes out of Squealers mouth, the weak minded animals are vulnerable to this propaganda because they cannot realize of the true objective of it.The animal are so easily controlled by the propaganda that they believe everything squelars say, even when he told the animals that Boxer, one of the harder workers in farm, was taken to a hospitalto die peacefully, while he was really taken to the butcher shop and killed, and after this, pigs enjoyed of a party with whisky and some other privileges with the money they get from their most...
