The violence occurs in schools and institutions, such as orphanages and othershelters, on the streets, the workplace and prisons. Children experience violence in their homes, within their families or by other children. A small number of cases of violence against children ends indeath; but more often than not even leave visible traces. Still, it is one of the most serious problems currently affecting children.
