“Exclusive tour of GM's design center”
This video is about how GM makes the design of all of their cars from zero, for that GM had anexclusive building called studio X.
The video starts with the department in charge of the cars colors, the video starts here although I thought the color of the cars must be the last part in thedesign of a car because there are a lot of things more important like the design itself of the car, the proportions and the materials, but what they do here is awesome and in no way less than the othersbecause this department makes the car to look pretty to the buyer, also they are creating new forms of color such as the colors that changes according to the weather, with this they had an extra thatmakes the difference with others companies.
The video continues in the second floor with a motto “quality begins with design”, that’s the value added of GM because Ed Welburn says that a car has tobe recognizable, everybody recognizes a corvette but that’s because of the quality of the brand and therefor the design of the car.
The next department is the most important according to me, andit’s the Virtual reality lab, in here all the GM’s studios from around the world had the chance of communicate each other’s from their countries, and why GM had more than one studio is to try the fullcomprehension of the market around the world, in this lab al the designs leaders sit down and show the others studio what they had planned according of their market, what they are doing and how to improveit.
The last part is like the department to show where all begins the restoration room, because of the past we all recognize a car is that, that we don’t know but when Buick shows off we know is abuick, we know which car is from GM or Ford or Chevrolet they can learn from the mistakes and improved it.
