A. Imagine yourself as an upcoming senior who will have to attend the new school. You have been given the floor for two to three minutes to share your feelings with the school board and attendees ofthe meeting. As you take the microphone you must answer questions 1 through 4 within your two- to three-minute commentary. Remember that your objective is to persuade your audience. 1. How would you name the school? What would be its mascot? Explain your choices.
I would name the school Winnerside High School and if I was to pick aschool mascot I would choose the majestic eagle because it’s a symbol of action, intelligence and freedom. Also there are no limits to the sky in which it flies. I believe the eagle is a bird with abeautiful flight that does whatever it can to succeed/ survive. It’s a very graceful bird too.
2. Why do you think symbols like a name or mascot are so important to the people of the city?
Whywould it be important to the students?
So that people all around would hear about our great school. It is important so that student would be recognized too. The student’s work is reflected by theschool. If you go to a good school, such as ours will be, people will be impressed when you tell them that you graduated from such a great school.

3. What are two goals you could recommend the newprincipal to consider when opening up the new school?
To have an A school and always maintain it that way, and to allow the student to make great memories in there by going on fieldtrips and havingschool activities. Students only go through high school once in their lifetime and it shouldn’t be a bad memory for them.

4. Identify two challenges that principal may have in achieving those goals?Two challenges that the principal could face are making sure everyone gets good grades in the school, and finding a way to make activities and not go over the school budget in doing so.
