1.- Good Luck, Good Fortune, Prosperity.
2.- An agreeable feeling or condition of the soul arising from good fortune.
3.- The state of being happy, contentment, joyfulsatisfaction
SYNONYMS
Felicity.- Is generic, and is applied to almost every kind of enjoyment except that of the animals appetites.
Blessedness.- is applied to themost refined enjoyment arising from the purest social, benevolent, and religious affections.
Bliss.- denotes still more exalted delight, and is applied more appropriately to the joy anticipated inheaven.
Factors that contributes to happiness:
• Satisfaction of basic needs
• Money
• Love
• Health
• Self-esteem
• An interesting job
• Youth
•Good Friends
• Having children

Like many topics in our lives, all we have a notion on what it is the happiness, but it seems verydifficult to us to explain it. It the same happens when we thinking about concepts like “Justice” or “Solidarity”.
Generally when we thought about happiness we see its effects but not often weanalyzed its causes.
What us makes happy? It is possible that this happiness is a permanent state? Its easy to confuse the happiness with the well-being. It is easy to confuse the happiness with thewell-being. For that reason many people are mistaken thinking that the material goods will give the happiness them.
It is certain that the material things give well-being us; like for example, heis much more comfortable to travel in a car that in the public transport, is better to have a coat when it is cold, and is necessary to have something what to eat. But that well-being does not haveanything to do with the happiness.
The happiness is much more deep concept of stability, security, hope. The happiness is not the lack of problems or absence of difficulties.
