Americans today tend to believe that technology is becoming better everyday without really knowing the real causes and disasters that it creates. For example it blindsus from us reality, we forget about our families and friends, and it can get to kill us all, technology can he used in malevolent ways.
Technology is blinding everyone from reality. Forexample, how Jennie Lee Williams said, “Wake Up. Check your email. Check Facebook. Check Twitter. Check your email again. Receive a text, respond to said text. Repeat.” Mostly every single person repeatthis cycle from when they wake up until when they go to sleep and don’t pay attention to other important factors about life. We agree to this quote and it is bad that every one does this. This is one ofthe big causes of technology and we are not paying attention to reality.
Many people are forgetting about their family and friends. Jennie Lee Williams stated that, “Technology is robbing overrelationships of quality time characters by giving our full undivided attention to the other.” What this quote is basically trying to explain is that we as humans are forgetting that we can live lifewithout such technology. My partner and I believe that this statement is true because technology does really grab our attention and we forget about the real world. With this being said, technologyhas actually blinded us from our real relationships.
Also, technology can get so devastating that it can someday get to kill us all! According to Steven Prentice, he states, “Like guns,technology has no morals…” In other words, technology does not have a purpose in this world and is useless, just like guns. This statement is true because statistics all over the world show that technology isvery harmful. That is how technology can get to be harmful in various ways.
