Symptoms:
* Generally external or internal bleeding episodes call “bleeds”
* Bleeding in the skin or making hematomas (soft tissue causing a build up of blood)
* Traces ofblood in urine
* Heavy menstrual bleeding in females
* Frequent and heavy nose bleeding
* Bleeding after circumcision
Causes:
* Many types of hemophilia, the most common A and B* Hemophilia A: Known as Classic hemophilia shows in 80% of the cases, recessive x-linked genetic disorder- lack of functional clotting in Chromosome X as factor VIII (essential blood clotting factor)* Hemophilia B: known as Christmas hemophilia, occurs in 20% of the cases in chromosome X as recessive affects the lack of functional clotting. Happens in a mutation in Factor IX (protein ofcoagulation system)

Incidents:
* In the USA 1 of every 100,000 in the adult population (10%) suffer from hemophilia
* Men are usually the most affected because this one is present inchromosome X
* It affect 1 of every 5,000 male births, about 400 babies are born with hemophilia
* In the studies of 1994, 17,000 in the USA suffer from hemophilia
Risk Factors:
* If you are amale you have risk factors
* If the disease was present in your family before you can be hereditary
* Also is likely to appear in racial and ethnic groups
Testing:
* You can do any bloodtest if you suspect you have hemophilia
* You can do a family history of bleeding disorders aid
* Many tests can make you qualify the severity of the problem, as the circumcision, when you arein a surgery, etc.
Preventions:
* Since is a genetic disorder there’s no way to prevent this disease
* Doctors recommend to people that if they have family history with the disease to thinkit two times before becoming pregnant
