SKF is the largest bearing manufacturer in the World and has been the technology leader for most of its 98year existence. As we approach our 100th year we are developing into a Knowledge Engineering company that provides customers with added-value solutions that go well beyond standard bearings. We havealready been successful with innovative solutions for many well known customers.

In order to show and explain how Asian companies can benefit from SKF knowledge the SKF Group will hold a "SKFTechnical Press Conference" for the first time in Japan, on October 21st, 2005.

Similar press conferences have been held in the principal cities of Europe, the United States, India and China. As well asinnovative solutions mentioned earlier the occasion will be used to give you an introduction to direction of business SKF is focusing on and SKF's technical development in some selected industries.Mr. Tom Johnstone, President and CEO of SKF will attend and present the SKF Group's current activity and vision for SKF's next century in business. Mr. Yoshiki Asano, MD of SKF Japan, will coverSKF's activities in Japan. Mr Riccardo Dell'Anna, Senior Vice President of SKF Group Technology will reflect on SKF's wide competence; in bearings and non-bearing related technologies.
