Introduction:

This book is a testimony, it does not meet the requirements of a chronicle, asurvivor of Nazi concentration camps Auschwitz and Birkenau. Names happy memory because no summary perhaps the lowest point of human cruelty and fanaticism. If reality is imposed on the imagination, it estrujante thedeep darkness that can hide the human soul. Dr. Olga Lengyel wrote his experiences in the death camps named since his arrival, until liberation. His detailed descriptions fully understand the book. His intention is to share their experience for the future, tookus by surprise.

Chapter I' 8 horses or 96 men, women and children.

In early 1944, two thirds of Europe belonged to the Third Reich. Thatis, the empire that according to Hitler, is intended to fulfill a thousand years. The action takes place in the city of clud Klausenburg or as commonly known to the ancient capital of Transylvania. Here a couple of doctors: Olga Lengyel Miclos and had their own hospital, the work product of the effort and dedication of the husband.His family had two sons, Thomas and Arved, parents of the authorand hergodfather. The danger of a city in the midst of war was in the air, but the government sympathized with the Nazi regime and collaborated with them.Everyone thought that the stories of a Nazi officer who treated before his arrest, were mere exaggerations, the product of a drunken mind to create fear in the population. Something was listening to the concentration camps. Impossible to believethat such cruelty possible. It is known that part of the ideology of the National Socialist German Workers is founded on the belief of a superior race.The Germans are Aryans, descendants of a Caucasian, whose privilege lay in notever be mixed with any other. This race is superior to all others. This race isdestined to dominate the world. This was blindly believed by thousands of soldiers andcivilians and had led to World War II

Chapter II' sarrival.

The train stopped until the next night but were taken. The doctors were separatedand the men on one side and women on the other. Some ambulances arrivedallegedly to be sick. Families are separated. Each train discharged from 4-5000passengers, all were guarded by SS guards and divided them. Children and oldleft. Olga suspectsthat more will be sent to hard labor, and lying to say that hisoldest child is under twelve years. So all her family except her and her husbandwent to swell the ranks left. A cool breeze remembered the smell of burning flesh.Everything was surrounded by electrified barbed wire. Marriage is separatedLengyel. Women were forced to strip and stuck to a hangar. Olga was able to smuggle poison pills if needed butremember that last resort "My shame wasovercome by my fear." The drunken soldiers examined before and subsequentlyshaved. Any attempt disobedience was answered with blows to the genitals or head. Olga was in the Birkenau concentration camp, five miles of another known as Auschwitz. A red brick building guarded the strange sweet smell attracted the attention of Olga, was told it was a bakeryChapter III The barrack 26.

Soon all was discovered. Birkenau was the last stop of the other concentration camps were forced labor only. Birkenau was an extermination camp where the gas chambers and crematoria, just do not stop working. The cabin 26 was a kind ofbarn where they were sleeping bunks and 16 to 20 people. The barracks roamedaround the field and were lighted at night with strong reflectorsChapter IV The first impressions.
