Patient Monitoring Installation Guide
This document will provide the step to install the Patient Monitoring demo.

Installing the Demo:

1) After unzipping the files, doubleclick on the “Avalon Patient Monitoring.exe” located in the “Avalon Patient Monitoring\bin\release” folder. This will verify the application will run. You can now close theapplication. Also, build and run the application to ensure a working development environment by opening the “Avalon Patient Monitoring.sln” file
2) Install the widget . Please see detailsbelow.
3) See the Walkthrough.doc to learn how to use the demo.

Installing the Widget:

1) Double click on the Patient.Gadget file located in the “Avalon PatientMonitoring\Gadget” folder – this will automatically install our gadget in to the system side bar.
The Patient.Gadget file is nothing but a renamed zip file which contains all the html,javascript and other resources for a widget.

2) Set the path where the Patient Monitoring executable is located. To do this, use the gadget settings which can be accessed by clickingon the “check icon” in the upper right of the gadget.
(Default path will be the “downloads” folder of the user ie, [System.Shell.KnownFolders(“Downloads”)] \Avalon\AvalonPatient Monitoring.exe)

3) Now 3 patient names will be displayed in the gadget as Hyperlinks. You can expand the gadget using the “up arrow” located at the bottom of thegadget. Each link is bounded with their respective patient IDs. (As of now the three patient names are hard coded into the JavaScript.)

4) When clicking on a patient name,the following Shell execute statement will get executed and the Patient monitoring application is launched to the selected patient.
System.Shell.execute([ApplicationPath],[Patient ID]);
