How To Make Homemade Potato Chips

Homemade Potato Chips

Ingredients
1 Potato (or as much as you want)
Flavoring (Optional)

Materials & Tools
1 Microwave-safe plate 
1 Microwave with High capacity
1 Potato peeler(Optional)
1 Knife (or anything you can use to slice the potato)
1 paper towel or napkin
1 strainer

Procedure
Step 1: Wash your hands, your utensils, and your potatoes.
Step 2 (optional): If youwant you can peel the potatoes, but I do not recommend that you do it, because the outside makes the snack healthier.
Step 3: Slice (Cut) the potatoes
-Cut the potato into thin slices, as thinor as thick as you'd like.  Using a vegetable or cheese slicer (often found on a side of a cheese grater) works well.  The thinner the slice, the more quickly it will cook and thecrispier it will be
Step 4: Wash the potatoes
-Use the strainer to wash them.
Step 5: Put the slices on a plate (IMPORTANT!)
-Arrange the potato slices on the plate with the thinnerslices on the outside and the thicker slices on the inside. This will make the cooking more even.
Step 6: Dry the Potatoes
-Softly lay and lift the paper towel over the potatoes to dry them
Step7: (optional too): If you want, you can add any flavoring
-examples: salt, salt and vinegar, cayenne pepper, seasoned salt, or garlic powder. 
NOTE: Do not leave the potatoes uncooked formuch time after they’re sliced, otherwise they’ll get black
Step 8: Cook it
-Put the plate in the center of your microwave and set it for five minutes. (Cooking time will be different dependingon how many chips you are making and the thickness of the slices)
-If you want to put any kind of cheese you like you can do it in this step (in the last half minute) of it, but DO NOT OVERCOOKIT!!!
Step 9: Watch the chips
-You have to watch the chips while they are cooking, because cooking time will vary a lot. You can take them out when brown spots appear and the chips look crispy....
