The question tags is used in a conversation to know if what we said is true or not, or if the other person agree or not.

If we say something positive, the question tag is negative

If we say something negative, the question tag is positive

Here we have some examples:

- You are English, aren’t you?
- You are not Australian, are you?
- Luis isn’t at home, is he?
- Iwas right, wasn’t I?






























QUANTIFIERS


Countable nouns refer to things that we can count one by one . They have singular and plural form. For example we can count pens. We can have one, two,three or more pens.




Uncountable nouns are things that we can not count. They have not plural form. For example, we can notcount milk . Some other uncountable nouns are: Oil, music, love, water, rice.


We can use “some” in affirmatives countables sentences. Example: Lila has some CDs at home.


We can use “any” in negative countables sentences or in questions. Example: Do you have any pencils? / He doesn’t have any books


The expressions a few and many also are used with countables nouns.We can use “a little” and “much” with uncountable nouns. Examples: It needs a little sugar. / I don’t have much rice.






















THE FIRST CONDIDITIONAL




Use the first conditional to express probable situations, threats, promises, warnings and advices. The structure is the following: IF – SENTENCE IN PRESENT TENSE – SENTENCE IN FUTURETENSE WITH WILL or SENTENCE IN FUTURE TENSE – IF – SENTENCE IN PRESENT TENSE.


The IF can come first or between the two sentences . When the if comes at the beginning, a comma separates it from the consequence clause.


Here we have some examples:
If you eat all your food, I will buy you some candies
I will buy some candies for you if you eat all your foodQUESTIONS WITH THE FIRST CONDITIONAL




1.- What will you do if you get 20 points in your test?
If I get 20 points in my test, I will be very happy


2- What will you do if you don’t pass your test?
If I don’t pass my test, I won’t go to the beach.




THE SECOND CONDITIONAL




Use the secondconditional to talk about imaginary or improbable situations and give advices. The structure is the following: IF – SENTENCE IN PAST TENSE – SENTENCE IN CONDITIONAL ( WOULD – COULD) or SENTENCE IN CONDITIONAL – If - SENTENCE IN PAST TENSE


The if clause can come first or between the two sentences . When the if clause comes at the beginning , a comma separates it from the consequenceclause.


In the second conditional is used WERE with all the personal pronouns. (Only in conditional sentences.


Here we have some examples:


1.- If I had much Money, I would buy a new computer


2.- I would buy a new computer if I had much Money


3. If I were you , I would study more for the next test


QUESTIONS WITH THE SECOND CONDITIONAL1. What would you do if you were the president in your country?
If I were the president in my country, I would help people




2. What Would you do if you left your keys in the house?
If I left my keys in my house , I would call a locksmith














































PASSIVE VOICE




The passivevoice is used to emphasize the action or the object receiving the action , either because the subject is unknown or because is not relevant information. The passive voice is formed by the verb to be ( is, was, has been, etc.) and the past participle of the principal verb. In the passive voice we can mention the person or thing that does the action after the word “ by”
