El bádminton es un deporte de raqueta que puede ser jugado por dos personas o por cuatro en parejas. Lo que lo hace particular es que en lugarde una pelota normal, se juega con un proyectil que tiene insertadas varias plumas en él. Este especial objeto está hecho así para que no lo desvíeel viento. Este deporte, que requiere muchas condiciones físicas y habilidades en los participantes, puede ser jugado entre hombres, entremujeres y también en forma mixta.
El objetivo del juego es evitar el volante por encima de la red golpeándolo con la raqueta para conseguir que caiga enel suelo del campo contrario cada vez que lo consigas te anotaras un punto si fuiste tú en realizar el saque. El volante no se puede tocar con elcuerpo ni tampoco dos veces consecutivas.
