That is the life ofJerome Bettis, also known as The Bus. This is the story of a poor boy that had to earn his way through life until he discovered his passion, football. He worked for years to become one of the bestrushers of all time and achieve his highest goal, the ones he had laid his eyes in since he started his superstar trajectory, playing in a Super Bowl.

Jerome was the third child of Gladys and JohnieJr., born on February 16, 1972 in the worst ghetto of the West side of Detroit, they were very poor, both of his parents worked, but his dad worked two jobs. His parents loved him very much nut theywere very strict. He was a thin little boy until he was 13, that’s when he grew up and out; a 13 year old 185 pound kid. At that age he began getting interested in sports like basketball, track andfield and football. He realized that if he wanted to get into college, his best shot was a sports scholarship, he didn’t love the game yet, but he gave priority to football, that’s how it all started.On the NFL draft of 1993, he was drafted by the St. Louis Rams. He was not very successful until 1996 when he was traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a big guy, and fast for his size, healways wanted to play in a Super Bowl, but his years of playing were almost over. In 2005 it seemed like they were going to the championship, but they got defeated by the New England Patriots, he was surehe was officially retiring. In that moment his QB promised him that if he gave him one more year, he would give him a champion ring, and the promise was kept.
