The Department of State has outlined the following specific objectives for the project.
To study community activism and diversity in the U.S., and effortstowards social inclusion and equity for marginalized communities;
*
To examine efforts to promote equity for group such as youth, women, and the mentally ill within local communities, andacross all levels of government;
*
To learn more about services addressing health and mental health, including depression and suicide prevention; and
*
To discuss issues of Native Americanand indigenous populations self-determination including cultural preservation, business, economic development, job training land development/rights.
