Introduction:
Enzymes speed up chemical reactions, but there are factors that affect the speed of the reaction, such as: pH, temperature, shape, etc. We decided to test the speed in reaction rate in potato changing its shape and observe if it is there any difference.

Methods and materials:
For thisexperiment we used potato in different shapes and oxygenated water, so we can measure the reaction rate. We put three different potato shapes with the same weight indifferent test tubes in 2 ml of oxygenated water. Those test tubes were connected to other test tube with distillated water through a plug. From this, we countedhow many bubbles were produced in 5 minutes for each shape.
We made three different potatoes shape with the same weight. The fist shape was a cylinder (), the second shape was a rectangle ( ), and the last shape was a cube ( ). For each shape we repeated theexperiment three times, waited 5 minutes and counted how many bubbles were produced

The results:

| 1º experiment | 2º experiment | 3º experiment |
Shape 1| 19 | 20 | 19 |
Shape 2 | 31 | 33 | 34 |
Shape 3 | 19 | 20 | 19 |

From the results we can see that the amount of bubbles in the shape 2 is bigger thanthe other two shapes, shape 1 and shape 3.

Conclusion:
We can observe that in shape two, which had a wider absorption area the rate of reaction measured withthe amount of bubbles is bigger, which means that the reaction rate will be faster in comparison with the other two shapes that had not the same absorption area.
